Mann Named CACC Player of the Week

Holy Family Women's Basketball senior Erin Mann Named CACC Player of the Week (11/19/12)


New Haven, Conn. - Holy Family University women's basketball senior Erin Mann (West Chester, Pa./Villa Maria Academy) was named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the week ending Nov. 18 as announced by the conference office Monday afternoon.
 
This marks the third time in her career that Mann has received CACC Player of the Week accolades. 
 
Mann led Holy Family to a pair of non-conference home victories this past week as the Tigers defeated East Stroudsburg University, 53-47, on Wednesday and then capped the week with a 67-48 victory over Queens College on Saturday.
 
Against East Stroudsburg, Mann recorded her second double-double of the season with a 17-point and 14-rebound performance.  She converted 9-of-10 from the free throw line and recorded two blocks and two steals on the defensive end. 

She highlighted the week leading Holy Family with 24 points versus Queens.  Mann shot 9-of-13 from the field and 6-of-8 from the free throw line.  She also tallied six rebounds, three blocks and one steal.
 
For the week, Mann averaged 20.5 points, 10.0 rebounds and 2.5 blocks per game.  She also finished the week shooting 15-of-18 from the free throw line.
 
Holy Family (2-1), ranked 12th in the preseason USA Today/ESPN NCAA Division II National Top-25 Coaches' Poll, will host Wilmington University tomorrow night in the first conference contest of the season.  Game time is slated for 6 p.m.
