New Haven, Conn. - Holy Family University women's basketball senior forward Erin Mann (West Chester, Pa./Villa Maria Academy) was named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the week ending Feb. 10 as announced by the conference office Monday.
This marks the second straight week and the fourth time this season that Mann has been recognized as the conference's Player of the Week and the sixth time in her career.
Mann helped lead the Tigers to another pair of conference victories this past week as the team extended their winning streak to nine games. Holy Family began the week with a 72-70 overtime victory against Philadelphia University and capped the week with a 66-57 victory at Felician College on Sunday.
Against Philadelphia, Mann recorded her ninth double-double of the season after scoring 19 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. She also blocked four shots and recorded three steals. Mann scored the only basket and eventual game-winner with :40 seconds left in overtime in the Tigers' victory.
Mann capped the week with a 28-point performance versus the Golden Falcons. She shot 9-of-20 from the field and converted 10-of-13 from the free throw line. Mann also recorded five steals and blocked three shots on the defensive end.
For the week, Mann averaged 23.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, 4.0 steals and 3.5 blocks per game. She shot .417-percent from the field and .810-percent (17-21) from the free throw line.
Mann currently leads the CACC in scoring as she is averaging 18.6 points per game. She is also first in blocks (67) and field goal percentage (.546). In addition, Mann is ranked tenth in rebounds per game (8.0) and 15th in steals (36).
Holy Family (21-2, 15-1 CACC), ranked eighth in the recent USA Today/ESPN NCAA Division II National Top-25 Coaches' Poll, is back in action on Saturday, Feb. 16 as the Tigers host Nyack College in a CACC contest. Game time is slated for 1 p.m.
