Philadelphia, Pa. - The Holy Family University men's basketball team has announced its schedule for the upcoming 2012-13 season on Thursday, which is officially set to begin on Friday, Nov. 9 as the Tigers travel to the state of Ohio for a pair of non-conference contests.

Before the Tigers jump into their regular season schedule the team will face Division I Rutgers University in an exhibition game schedule for Saturday, Nov. 3.  After the team's tune up game with the Scarlet Knights, the Tigers head to the state of Ohio to compete in the Don Callan Classic.  Holy Family will open with host Cedarville University and then face Urbana on Nov. 10.

Holy Family will then return home for three straight games against non-conference opponents.  The Tigers will host Molloy College (Nov. 16), UMass Lowell (Nov. 17) and Shaw University (Nov. 20).  Holy Family will close out the month of November with a road trip to Kutztown University on Nov. 27.

As the calendar switches to December, Holy Family will enter Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) play as the Tigers face Dominican College at home on Saturday, Dec. 1.  Holy Family will face three more non-conference opponents in the month including a trip to Syracuse, N.Y. to take on Le Moyne College on Dec. 15.   The Tigers will close out December with the East Region Classic hosted by Stonehill College.  Holy Family will face the Skyhawks on Dec. 29 and Assumption College on Dec. 30.

Entering the New Year, it'll be all conference opponents the rest of the way.  Holy Family will have 13 games against CACC members with a well-balanced home/away slate.  The Tigers will have seven home games and will be on the road for six during the final 13 game span.

The CACC Tournament is set to begin on Saturday, March 2 with quarterfinal action.  The tournament continues a week later on Friday, March 8 with the semifinals and then concludes with the championship final on Saturday, March 9.  The University of the Sciences will host this year's semifinals and championship final.

Last year, Holy Family finished 12-14 overall and qualified for the CACC Tournament for the first time since 2008-09 as the team earned the eighth seed after finishing 8-9 in conference play.
