Philadelphia, Pa. - The Holy Family University men's soccer team dropped a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) contest to visiting Goldey-Beacom College by the score of 2-1 Wednesday afternoon at Tiger Field.

Holy Family is now 6-5-2 overall and 3-3-1 in conference play, while Goldey-Beacom improves to 3-9-0 overall and 1-7-0 in CACC action.  The win marked the Lightning's first conference victory of the season.

The Tigers found themselves trailing 2-0 early in the second half after a pair of goals by the Lightning.  Goldey-Beacom scored the game's first goal in the 32nd minute when senior Matt Bik scored an unassisted goal, his first of the season, to give the Lightning a 1-0 lead.

Goldey-Beacom doubled its lead early in the second half when Bik assisted junior Thatcher Howell on his second goal of the season.  Howell's goal made the score 2-0 in the 57th minute.

Holy Family broke up the shutout bid later in the half when freshman Aiah Mbriwa (Abington, Pa./Philmont Christian Academy) scored his first collegiate goal.  Mbriwa's score in the 72nd minute made the score 2-1.

Despite the late rally, Goldey-Beacom managed to keep the Tigers off the scoreboard the rest of the way holding off Holy Family for the victory.
