West Chester, Pa. - The Holy Family University men's soccer team dropped a non-conference contest at West Chester University by the score of 3-0 Thursday afternoon.
 
Holy Family is now 3-2-0 overall, while West Chester picks up its first win of the season to improve to 1-2-0 overall.
 
After nearly a scoreless first half, senior Neil Gallagher got things started scoring off a free kick from 20-yards out to give West Chester a 1-0 lead in the 34th minute. 
 
The Golden Rams' defense held the Holy Family offense off the scoreboard and limited the Tigers to only one shot in the first half.  In fact, West Chester outshot Holy Family 9-1 in the half and 15-5 for the game.
 
In the second half, sophomore Tommy Ryan doubled the Golden Rams' lead scoring his first goal of the season in the 68th minute to make the score 2-0.  Senior Brett Snyder tacked on another goal in the 88th minute give West Chester a three-goal lead at 3-0. 
 
Holy Family is back in action on Saturday, Sept. 15 as the Tigers host Nyack College in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) contest.  Game time is slated for 2:30 p.m.  Holy Family is currently 1-0-0 in conference play this season.
