Holy Family University Business School to Host Forum on Mexico

PHILADELPHIA, PA -- Holy Family University’s School of Business Administration and Extended Learning will host “Mexico’s Legal and Business Forum,” a symposium sponsored by The United States-Mexico Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, October 17, 2013 from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm at its Woodhaven site in Bensalem, PA.

Carlos Giralt, Consul of Mexico in Philadelphia, will deliver the welcoming remarks, and Gerardo Patino, Regional Director of Promexico, will give a video presentation of current business opportunities in Mexico.

The first session will be devoted to Mexico’s Business and Regulatory Framework. Speakers from Duane Morris (Eduardo Ramos-Gómez, Partner; Rosa M. Ertze, Associate), and PricewaterhouseCoopers (Alejandro Staines, Tax Specialist) will provide an overview of Mexican politics, economy, the recent evolution of Mexico’s position in the world, and the state of US-Mexico relations.

The second session will explore manufacturing in Mexico. Speakers from Tecma (Alan Russell, President) and Magnetic Metals Corporation (Frank Rainero, President) will address Mexico as a manufacturing and logistics platform for North America, as well as cost advantages of and direct investment opportunity in Mexico. Key demographic, transport, and geographic analysis will be offered.

J. Barry Dickinson, PhD, Dean of Holy Family University’s School of Business Administration and Extended Learning, will deliver the closing remarks before participants attend a networking lunch and one-on-one meetings with the forum.
