Writing Made FUN

Butterfly Methodz Press is a publishing company that believes in educating and developing writers while transforming them into authors.  We have writing courses for children and adults.  One of our homeschool students, Jessie, issued a challenge a few weeks ago that Station Pizza had the very best cheesesteaks around, while another homeschool student, Declan, said that Gaetano's of Croydon had the very best cheesesteaks around.  The students talked about it so much that I decided to create a writing assignment around it.  Here's what we decided to do.  Today we had a class party featuring food from Station Pizza and Gaetano's.  We then asked all participants, approx. 6 people, to rate the food and give their opinion about who is the best.

Here are the findings:

Overall Gaetano's won 5 to 1.  Jessie changed her mind and said that she liked Gaetano's better because it was really cheesy and there was a lot of meat in their cheesesteaks.  "I've gotten a lot of cheesesteaks that had a little meat with a lot of bread and I don't like that" said Jessie.  She could not get enough of Gaetano's.  Alex liked Gaetano's but said she still liked Station Pizza's cheesesteaks better.  Alex; however, loved the Gaetano's quesadillas and bacon with cheddar fries.  Declan said, "Hands down, Gaetano's is the best!"

As you can see from the pictures, we ordered A LOT of food!  Writing is certainly a lot of fun, especially when you're writing about good food on a full stomach! Philly is known for its cheesesteaks but you only need to travel a short distance to get a great deal of FANTASTIC food at an economic price.  Gaetano's rated very high on our list today and we have a lot of leftovers for tonight!
