Greetings Everyone!

I am one of the newest bloggers here on Patch!  I definitely have my work cut out for me to have my blog published alongside some of the great writers that are on this site.

Let me introduce myself, I am Marc Bourne and I’m the Vice President of Know It All Intelligence Group, a nationwide employment screening and corporate investigation firm based in Bensalem.  My Mother and I started the company back in 1999, operating out of a room in her home.  Over the years, we have grown to become one of Pennsylvania’s premier corporate investigative firms with our headquarters located in The Constitution Building on Street Road.  Our firm does everything from background checks, fingerprinting, alarms and camera systems to full blown workplace investigations.  I won’t go on and on about my bio, you can easily read it on my Patch Profile.

Now, let’s get down to why I am here to write a blog for Patch.  I want to be able to help small business owners and managers with the tools they need to keep their business and employees safe.  When I mean safe, not only am I talking about the actual safety of their well being, but also to keep their brand and reputation safe from liability and PR disasters.  Don’t think that the worse can never happen to you, because it can.  Whether you have 1 employee or 100 employees, disaster can strike in a variety of ways.  It is your job as an owner or manager to be prepared and overcome the obstacles.  Over the years I have consulted with hundreds of small business owners on a variety of topics and hope to bring some of what I learned to this blog.  I also may stray from the business aspect and interject some personal thoughts just to break up the monotony of a “business blog”.

As I continue to write my blog articles, I hope that we can grow together.  By giving me feedback on what you want to hear about or have questions about will help me become a better information provider.  So, here is your first assignment as a reader, let me know what topics you would to hear more about in the small business realm.
