In celebration of National Travel Rally Day this Tuesday, Visit Bucks County is partnering with six local attractions to offer free admission for the first 100 visitors.

This week is National Travel & Tourism Week, and Visit Bucks County, the official tourism promotion agency of Bucks County, is helping residents experience the tourism gems in their own backyard.

In celebration of Travel Rally Day this Tuesday, Visit Bucks County is partnering with six local attractions to offer free admission for the first 100 visitors. Participating locations include:

·         James A. Michener Art Museum

·         Pearl S. Buck House

·         Pennsbury Manor

By opening the doors to some of the area’s best attractions, locals and visitors have a chance to experience the first-class tourism product available in Bucks County, creating local ambassadors who can help spread the word about Bucks County to out-of-town friends and family.

According to Tourism Economics and Greater Philadelphia Tourism & Marketing Corp, tourism supports 11,500 jobs locally. Visitor spending in Bucks County equates to $865 million in local economic impact and $116 million in federal, state and local taxes.

Without the travel and tourism industry, it is estimated that every household in the United States would pay $1,000 more in taxes.

As part of National Travel & Tourism Week, Visit Bucks County will have employees stationed at all four Bucks County Visitor Center locations on Friday, May 10th  – Bensalem, New Hope, Peddler’s Village and Quakertown – where they will be engaging with residents about area attractions and the importance of tourism to Bucks County.
