Having fun shouldn’t break the bank! From rock climbing to wine tastings, I’ve gathered together exciting activities to give your wallet a vacation, too.

Summer is quickly approaching so let’s get started….

  • Climb your way up the ladder of fun! High Rocks at Ralph Stover State Park offers one of the best rock-climbing spots in the mid-Atlantic region with beautiful views of Bucks County’s countryside.
  • Grab your sneaks and hit the 35 miles of trails throughout Nockamixon State Park! Along your hike, explore the scenic views of forests, fields and Lake Nockamixon.
  • Get a head start on Christmas cheer! The Christmas Museum at Byers’ Choice offers a stroll down memory lane through Charles Dickens’ London. Save some time to tour the award-winning gardens and sculpture collection outdoors.
  • Enjoy a self-guided tour and tasting at Buckingham Valley Vineyards, one of Pennsylvania’s first farm wineries.
  • Bring a hammer to Ringing Rocks Park and make your very own “Rock Concert!” Experience the mystery of when these rocks are hit with a hammer they ring like a bell.
  • A 27-hole Frisbee Golf course is enjoyed by all at Tyler State Park! Course maps with rules and scorecards are available at the park office.
  • Grab your map, take out the convertible and enjoy the scenic back roads along the Bucks County Covered Bridge Driving Tour!
  • Pack a picnic with a bottle of Bucks County wine and head to Core Creek Park. Romance will be in the air at the park’s 1,200 scenic acres and Lake Luxemburg.
  • Stroll the 42 acres of lavishly landscaped gardens at Peddler’s Village! View their colorful tulip gardens, window shop along the paths lining the 70 specialty stores and stop at one of the many picture-perfect spots for that special Kodak moment.
