Goblins, Ghouls and Ghosts in Bucks County

Halloween is less than a week away! Prepare for ghostly encounters, haunted hayrides and spook-tastic fun. Bucks County is buzzing with Halloween events this weekend and beyond! Put on your best costume and bring your family and friends to celebrate this hair-raising holiday.

 ·Celebrate the Halloween festivities with your little ones at Sesame Place.This weekend is your last chance to put on your favorite costume for The Count’s Halloween Spooktacular! Travel through winding mazes, experience a character hayride with your favorite Sesame friends and dance along to the Neighborhood Street Party Halloween Parade.

· Face your fears at the House in the Hollow in Newtown! Hold tight to your loved ones and travel through 17 eerie rooms and on-site crypt for the ultimate spooky night. Take a moonlit adventure on the Sleepy Hollow Hayride and discover the creatures of the night along the way. The frights continue through November 2. 

· Have fall fun during the day and stay after dark for spooks at Shady Brook Farm’s Fall Fest. Attend PumpkinFest to pick and carve your own pumpkin. Once nightfall arrives, brave your way through the unknown fields of HorrorFest featuring a Barn of Horror and 3-D Alien Encounter held through the first weekend in November.

· Experience fear like you've never felt it before at Valley of Fear in Feasterville! Travel through the dark forest on the Haunted Hayride, watch your nightmares come to life with ScaryTales and escape contamination in the Zombie Escape Maze. Valley of Fear is open for screams and scares through the beginning of November.

· Revel in the allure and mystery of Halloween with Newtown’s Annual Halloween Parade! Dress to impress for the costume contest and create a bewitching float! Held on October 26, registration begins at 9 a.m. and the parade starts at 10 a.m. Be sure to stop by the Newtown Theatre for the award ceremony and refreshments.

· Experience a haunting lantern-led tour at Historic Fallsington’s Spirits of the Past Tour. Face 18th-century ghosts throughout your journey and hear alarming tales of the property’s ghoulish past. Held on October 27 from 6-8:30 p.m., book your tickets in advance to experience this spooky adventure through time.

· Witches in Pennsbury Manor? On October 27 from 1-4 p.m., attend Pennsbury Manor’s Family Halloween & Witch Trial for trick-or-treating and Halloween inspired games for the entire family to enjoy. Attend the controversial 1684 witch trial of Margaret Mattson to determine her guilt or innocence!

· Listen to a true ghost story on the grounds of Pulitzer Prize-winning author Pearl Buck’s former home! On October 27 from 5-8 p.m. attend Ghost Stories From a Writer’s House at Pearl S. Buck International. Arrive in your favorite costume to hear hair-raising tales from documented ghostly encounters and experience a Candlelight Ghost House Tour.

· Discover the mysterious history of a local Bucks County borough at the Ghost Tours of New Hope. Held every Friday and Saturday in October, including Halloween night at 8 p.m., hear spooky tales of the notorious phantom hitchhiker and Aaron Burr, and if you’re lucky, you may even come across their ghostly figures along the way.
