From an old-fashioned fourth of July celebration at a historic castle to a festival featuring blueberries and bluegrass, there's something happening for everyone this July.

·June 28-October 26 – Stop by the James A. Michener Art Museum and marvel over the larger-than-life sculptures displayed outside the museum’s walls as part of the Out of this World: Works by Steve Tobin exhibit. In addition to these sculptures, a 15-foot high Steelroots sculpture will stand in the Martin Wing, accompanied by more intimate, colorful patinas displayed on the walls.

There’s no better way to celebrate Independence Day than at Fonthill Castle’s Old Fashioned Fourth of July Celebration. This community tradition invites both locals and visitors to explore the grounds of Henry Mercer’s estate while participating in watermelon-eating contests, sack races and plenty more old-fashioned games. Enjoy delicious food, listen to live music performances, participate in the Children’s Decorate Bike Parade, win prizes and more.

All your favorite Sesame Street® friends are celebrating Independence Day with a Fourth of July BBQ and Fireworks Display at Sesame Place®. After a day of fun on rides and water slides in the park, the whole family can satisfy their appetites with tasty BBQ dishes in Big Bird’s Riverside Pavilion followed by a spectacular fireworks show set to the tune of popular Sesame Street songs.

The Annual Southampton Days Fair and Independence Day Parade kicks off at 8:30 a.m. at FirstTrust Bank in town. After the patriotic parade, head to Tamanend Park for an afternoon full of amusement rides and games. Enjoy live musical entertainment, delicious fair food following by a dazzling fireworks display.

·July 5 – Join the locals in Newtown for the Annual First Fourth Celebration. Plenty of food and craft vendors, activities and live entertainment including a Colonial-era Encampment, will welcome visitors to the celebration. Climb and bounce on inflatable attractions and be sure to stay past dusk for the beautiful Fourth of July fireworks display. Newtown was recently named one of America’s Best Towns for the Fourth of July by Travel + Leisure, so stop by to see what makes this patriotic town so special.

·July 6 – The celebration continues all weekend with the 42nd Annual Pennridge Community Day in Perkasie. With carnival rides, live entertainment, food vendors, games and even canoe races, there is plenty of fun for the whole family. A brilliant fireworks display will bring the festival to a close after dusk.

·July 12-13 – Take part in a great Bucks County tradition alongside 300+ artists at the 65th Annual Tinicum Arts Festival hosted by the Tinicum Civic Association. Live entertainment and tasty picnic food, children’s games, a silent auction and book sale are just a few of the many exciting activities that will take place in scenic Tinicum Park throughout the weekend.

·July 12-13 – Everything is blue this weekend in Peddler’s Village during the 2nd Annual Bluegrass & Blueberries Festival. Save your appetite for fresh, locally grown blueberries prepared any way you like them, ranging from homemade baked goods to smoothies. Tap your toes to the live bluegrass and country music acts performing both days.

·July 12-13 – Join fellow history buffs at the Art of the Barn Tour & Show, presented by the Bucks County Audubon Society. This weekend-long event begins at the Honey Hollow Visitor Center with an informational lecture by renowned architect Sylvan Stoltzfus. After learning the ins and outs of the rustic barns featured this year, come back Saturday and Sunday for the chance to cruise through the countryside along the winding back roads that lead to each of the historic structures on the tour.

·July 14-September 22 – See the passion of artistic locals come to life during the 10th Annual Bucks County Quilt Showcase. More than 100 Traditional, Applique, Amish and Artistry quilts provided by The Quilt Academy and Quilts for Kids will be beautifully displayed in the main gallery of the Bucks County Visitor Center in Bensalem. As a special treat, two quilts are being raffled off to lucky winners with proceeds being donated to the nonprofit organization Quilts for Kids.

·July 16-August 30 – Browse the amazing kinetic sculptures from artist Jeff Kahn at Hortulus Farm Garden & Museum’s special Art in the Garden event. Kahn’s work, which has been displayed at the National Air and Space Museum of the Smithsonian Institute as well as The New York Botanical Garden, is a study of movement and each of the four displays constantly change shape and patterns while on display. Be sure to save time to tour the beautiful on-site gardens featuring a variety of flowers, plants and other décor.

·July 16-17 – The whole family can enjoy a whimsical performance from Imagination Movers Live in Concert at Sesame Place®. This show about the universal struggles that accompany young sibling relationships will have everyone laughing, singing and hopping along to the upbeat, original songs. 

·July 19-27 – Travel back in time to 1946 when swing music dominated the radio during one of Bristol Riverside Theatre’s Jukebox Saturday Night events. Dance along to popular tunes from Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, Glenn Miller and more old-time favorites from this unforgettable era. 

·July 20 – Get your motor running at this year’s Newtown Business Association Antique and Classic Car Show. More than 200 automobiles will line State Street including Classic Cars, Trucks, Sports Cars, Street Rods, Muscle Cars and more. Register your own ride for the chance to win some great prizes or just cruise by for the chance to see some of the best vehicles from the region.

·July 20 – Bring your appetite to the 3rd Annual Jog ‘n Hog at Shady Brook Farm. This race that tests both your ability to eat and the run features two divisions this year: the traditional “Whole Hogger” division in which participants must eat a whole quart of ice cream at the race’s half way point and the “Half Hogger” division in which participants must eat a pint of ice cream at the half way point.

·July 25 – Delight your senses at Pennsbury Manor during the Garden Highlights & Beer Brewing Demonstration. Take a tour of the 17th century garden on-site and experience the fragrance and color of colonial plants and herbs and be sure to stop in the Kitchen House where professional beer brewers will discuss the brewing process in colonial Pennsylvania.

·July 25-26 – Journey to the other side of the world right here in Bucks County during the Australian Christmas in July and “Down Under BBQ” event taking place at Byers’ Choice®, Ltd. The Chalfont Fire Company is covering the entire grounds with a snowy foam so kids (and kids at heart!) can play. Head inside later for a screening of Frosty the Snowman, accompanied by peppermint-flavored ice cream, Christmas cookies, fun games and plenty of other entertaining activities.
