Linda E. Heifet, 72, of Bensalem

Funeral arrangements have been made for Linda E. Heifet, 72, of Bensalem.

Linda E. (Hoffman) Heifet, of Bensalem, died on Thursday. She was 72.

She was born in Vandergrift and was the daughter of Howard and Harriet (Orr) Hoffman. She had lived in Philadelphia, until moving to Bensalem in 1972 where she resided until her death. 

She was a volunteer at Christian Life Center, where she made baby blankets, working in the church Script Program and the Red Cross Homeless Shelter. She attended Lenten luncheons at Emilie Methodist Church, and she enjoyed attending bible studies.

Heifet loved to knit, crochet, read, and especially enjoyed watching her granddaughters' softball games. 

She was the wife of the late Frederick C. Heifet, mother of Joseph (Susan), Susan Reese, and David; grandmother of Kristen, Robert, Richard, Joseph, Ryan, Nicholas, and Ashley; and great-grandmother to Jace. She was the sister of James, Thomas (Yvonne), and John Hoffman; sister-in-law of Frances Greenberg; and aunt of Brett and Bradley.

Relatives and friends will be received by the family at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday at Hoffmann Funeral Home, 1770 Brown Avenue at Hulmeville Road in Bensalem.

Her funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Heifet's memory may be made to St. Mary Medical Center Cancer Center in Langhorne.
