2 Women Charged with Prostitution

Bensalem Police responded to an escort ad promoting a 'two girl special,' which led to the arrest of two alleged prostitutes.

Two Philadelphia women are facing prostitution charges after allegedly agreeing to perform sex acts with a Bensalem Police officer.

Denelia Santiago, 22, of the 3500 block of North Eleventh Street, and Sharon Mungin, 24, of the 1400 block of Blavis Street, were arrested on Wednesday and both were charged with criminal conspiracy and prostitution, misdemeanor offenses.

Police had responded to an escort ad on backpage.com on Sept. 23 promoting a "two girl special" in Neshaminy, according to court documents.

The officer called the phone number listed on the ad and coordinated with a woman, identified as Santiago, who allegedly said it would cost $180 for 30 minutes with two girls, according to court documents.

Santiago told the officer to go to the Neshaminy Inn Hotel on Old Lincoln Highway in Bensalem and come to room 109, according to police.

Upon arriving, Mungin allegedly let the officer in and he paid Santiago $180, according to court records. After the officer paid an additional $20, police moved in and took the women into custody, according to court documents.

According to police, both women said they would see between 10 to 12 guys per day, according to court records.

Mungin and Santiago await a preliminary hearing on Jan. 9.
