5 Injured in Weekend Brownsville Road Crash

Local fire, police and rescue squad responded to a crash this weekend on Brownsville Road.

The , and Tri Hampton Rescue Squad responded to Brownsville Road and Libby Lane for a vehicle crash with injuries and possible entrapment Saturday, March 31, at 2:45 p.m.

According to Lower Southampton Fire Department Deputy Chief Stephen Brookes, units arrived on the scene and found the occupants out of the overturned vehicle and in need of medical care.

"Overall there were 5 persons injured, 2 of which sustained serious injuries," Brookes stated in an e-mail.

The Tri Hampton Rescue Squad, assisted by Pendell/Middletown Rescue Squad, transported all the injured to Saint Mary Medical Center for treatment of their injuries.

The crash is being investigated by the Lower Southampton Police Department.
