Apartment Fire Ruled Arson

A Bensalem apartment fire has been ruled arson.

Bensalem authorities are seeking information related to a possible suspect and motive behind a weekend fire set at a township apartment complex.

Fire broke out just before 9:30 p.m. Sunday in the trash room of Regency Apartments, according to the Bucks County Courier Times.

Fire Investigator Robert Sponheimer of Bensalem Township Fire Rescue told Patch that residents of the 36-unit building were removed from the "B" building and permitted back inside at about 11 p.m. on Sunday.

"The trash room and laundry room of B building sustained significant fire, smoke and water damage," he said. "Minor smoke damaged the common hallway on the first and second floors."
