Wanted: TD Bank Robber Who Fled on Foot

A man walked into TD Bank on the corner of Street and Mechanicsville roads and demanded money from the tellers, according to police.

The Bensalem Police Department are searching for a man accused of robbing a TD Bank Monday afternoon.

According to an alert sent by the department, a white man in his late 30s entered the bank located at the corner of Street Road and Mechanicsville Road. and demanded money from the tellers.

The alleged robber used a note that implied he had a handgun “and would start shooting” but never displayed a weapon. After receiving and undisclosed amount of cash, the man fled the area on foot and was last seen heading East on Street Road, according to police.

The accused robber is approximately between 5-feet, 5-inches and 5-feet, 8-inches tall, with a stocky build. He wore a green with white Boston Celtics cap with “NBA” in the front, a dark blue, long-sleeved T-shirt with a light-colored t-shirt underneath, khaki cargo shorts and dark colored sneakers with white ankle socks.

Police consider the man armed and dangerous and suspect he may be involved in other robberies in the area. Approximately 40 minutes after this incident, a TD Bank on Haldeman Street in Philadelphia was robbed by a man with similar physical features who gave the teller a threatening note, but he wore different clothing. Bensalem police could not confirm conclusively that it was the same person, but acknowledged similarities.
