Bensalem Teen Charged with Murder

A 19-year-old Bensalem teen was stabbed to death early Sunday morning, Bensalem police said.

A 19-year-old Bensalem man has been charged with murder in relation to the Sunday stabbing death of another Bensalem teen, Bensalem police announced Monday morning.

Joseph Romano, 19, of the 1100 block of Kasmir Avenue, is charged with homicide and related offenses, police said.

Police responded to the report of a stabbing at about 2:30 a.m. Sunday at the Kasmir Avenue address, police said. Upon arrival they discovered the body of a 19-year-old man and Romano, police said.

Romano was taken into custody without incident, police said, and was arraigned by Magisterial Judge Maggie Snow. Romano was sent to Bucks County Prison with no bail.

The victim's name has not been released, pending family notification.

The case is under investigation by Bensalem police and the Bucks County District Attorney's Office.
