Bensalem Travel Agency to Return Checks

Detectives believe that the situation with Aloha Travel Agency is not a criminal matter.

Updated, July 28: 10:20 a.m.: The local travel agency that was under investigation for a possible fraud has been cleared by Bensalem detectives.

After interviewing the owner of Aloha Travel Agency about customer payments not going towards the booking of their vacation, the detectives said they did not believe the situation to be a criminal matter. The owner has made the proper arrangements to reimburse all customers who filed complaints with the Bensalem Township Police Department.

"The owner was very cooperative," Sgt. Andrew Aninsman said in a press release. "Most of the checks for reimbursement were mailed today."

Those who filed complaints were told to contact the police if their reimbursements were not received by early next week.

Original Post: July 27, 11:09 a.m.: Bensalem Police are investigating a local travel agency after several reports of fraud.

Customers complained that payments made to Aloha Travel Agency, located at 2315 Bristol Pk., did not go towards the booking of their vacation, according to a press release from the Bensalem Police Department.

At least six complaints have been received by the police, according to MyFoxPhilly.com and PhillyBurbs.com.

To further investigate, police ask that if you have a similar complaint with the travel agency, to contact the detective division at 215-633-3758.
