Bensalem Woman Charged in Hit and Run

A woman struck a bicyclist, causing injury and damage to her vehicle and fled the scene, according to police.

An alleged Bensalem hit and run driver was arrested after police said an anonymous tipster shared her whereabouts following an accident involving a bicyclist.

Kathleen Bodnar, 34, of the 4500 block of Yates Road East, was arrested on Tuesday and charged with a misdemeanor charge of accidents involving personal death or injury, as well as four traffic-related summary offenses stemming from allegedly fleeing the scene, failing to render help, or notify authorities of the crash.

Police allege that Bodnar, while driving in the 4300 block of Bensalem Boulevard on Nov. 4, “failed to maintain her lane of travel” and struck a bicyclist who was riding west on the road.
