Conestoga Drug Bust at High Noon

A Conestoga High School student learns a hard lesson in the meaning of the term "zero tolerance" from Tredyffrin Township Police.

Tredyffrin Police say a Conestoga High School Student was arrested at school last Wednesday, October 17, at high noon.

According to a report from Tredyffrin Police "Police were dispatched to the high school at 11:57 a.m. for the report of a juvenile male in possession of suspected marijuana “firecrackers” The juvenile was arrested and released to their parent."

While no more specifics on this case were made available, Tredyffrin Police and the T/E School District have a "zero tolerance" policy when it comes to possession of any illegal drugs or substances.

Firecrackers have long been a concern when it comes to teens in the area. Two people were arrested at the and of last school year for selling firecrackers to students at a SEPTA train station not far from the Conestoga campus.

UrbanDictionary.com defines firecrackers as:

"A snack made with crackers, peanut butter, and marijuana. Basically, it's peanut butter and weed sandwiched between two crackers, then baked."

In a separate and unrelated case of possession last week,

Tredyffrin Police made another arrest Thursday, October 18 at 4:37 p.m.

Police say it happened along Upper Gulph Road in Wayne.  According to a police blotter report "police arrested Marc Francis Pietrini, 34, of Wayne PA for possessing a small amount of suspected marijuana and paraphernalia. While driving past his vehicle, officers observed Mr. Pietrini using suspected marijuana and subsequently initiated a traffic stop."

I am shocked by some of these remarks. I was going on to post how we used to have a town watch - where we would go around and keep an eye on things - if something didn't look right report it. I can say, as far as the pot goes, yes it does lead to bigger things in most cases. I have seen where it is minimal pot and few years go by and cocaine comes into picture. If I have mispelled anything my aplogies; but in all I wanted to get my point across. Can we keep this to a mature group and not a finger pointing out wrong things please

You write so poorly that I had to read your posts twice to make sure I understood your meaning. You can get your point across most effectively by communicating clearly, i.e., using proper grammar and spell check. Regardless of how badly the readers write in their comment posts, the staff writing articles needs to hold themselves to a professional standard. That isn't asking too much. FYI, my bigger gripe is with the inaccurate reporting. The bad writing was more of an aside. Accurate reporting should be an absolute requirement, and there are obvious inaccuracies in the story.
