Troopers Investigate Double Homicide in Bucks County

State police have a suspect in custody.

The Dublin station and the Bucks County District Attorney’s office are investigating the deaths of Stephanie Hill, 36, and Frederick Tarantino, 43, both of Ottsville.  On Jan. 27, at 5:25 a.m., State Police responded to the 8700 block of Easton Road, Nockamixon in response to a 9-1-1 call. 

Upon arrival, troopers found Tarantino deceased outside the apartment building and Hill with life threatening injuries inside the apartment. Hill was taken to St Luke’s hospital in Fountain Hill by ambulance where she later died of her injuries.

According to a release, troopers located a suspect driving his vehicle on Route 412 about a mile north of Palisades Middle School. This suspect was taken into custody without incident and is currently in police custody. There are no additional persons being sought in this investigation.

Bucks County Deputy Coroner Richard Kuntz responded to the scene and pronounced Tarantino deceased at the scene at 9 a.m.  The preliminary cause of death is multiple blunt force trauma to the head. It was ruled a homicide. Lehigh County Coroner Scott Grim has classified the death of Stephanie Hill as a homicide.  The preliminary cause of death is multiple stab wounds. Autopsies were scheduled for tomorrow.
