Drug Possession Charges Pending After Traffic Stop

Pennsylvania State Police initiated a traffic stop where the driver was found with possible drugs and drug paraphernalia, police said.

Pennsylvania State Police initiated a traffic stop in Bensalem where the driver driver was found with possible drugs and paraphernalia, according to police reports.

A 30-year-old Levittown woman was pulled over for a traffic violation on Monday at 10:38 a.m., a report from the state police said. The traffic stop took place on I-95 South just past mile marker 33 in Bensalem.

After further investigation, Trooper Preston M. Gray found the driver of the vehicle to be "in possession of a green leafy substance, suspected to marijuana," the report said. Drug paraphernalia was also found.

Charges are being filed in district court, according to the report.
