Drunk Grandmother Charged with Child Endangerment

She was drinking beer while babysitting and her grandson wandered off.

After finding a 3-year-old boy wandering on Brown Avenue on Monday, Bensalem police arrested the boy’s grandmother Lisa McLawhorn, 48, of Wicker Avenue, for child endangerment because she was found to be intoxicated.

According to a story on PhillyBurbs.com, McLawhorn was babysitting her grandson and 9-month-old granddaughter at her daughter's place in the Regency Apartments.

Police said the boy was in his room watching television but then left through an open window.

The boy was found by a passing motorist who notified police.

McLawhorn was lodged in Bucks County Prison in lieu of $50,000 bail, the story stated.
