According to a story on PhillyBurbs.com, former Bensalem school bus driver Kim Townsend who drove drunk with 22 kids on board in June was sentenced Wednesday to between four and 23 months in Bucks County Prison.
Townsend, 45, of Cypress Avenue, was also fined $1,000, received 100 hours of community service and lost her license for a year.
She pleaded guilty to drunken driving, child endangerment, recklessly endangering another person and careless driving.
Police said test results found that Townsend's blood alcohol was a .19 percent about an hour after the school bus she was driving struck another vehicle at Knights and Street roads on June 15.
There were no children on the bus at the time of the accident because she had just dropped off school students in the area prior to accident.
