Fire Destroys Police, Employee Vehicles

Fire was considered suspicious and an investigation is underway.

said a police vehicle caught fire while in the municipal police lot on Sunday.

According to Sgt. Andy Aninsman, the vehicle and an adjacent employee vehicle were completely destroyed. Another employee sustained minor damage.

Aninsman said that due to the intense heat and flames, several rounds of ammunition discharged from the police vehicle, which temporarily impaired the responding police officers from extinguishing the fire and move adjacent police and employee vehicles.

Once fire personnel arrived they too were temporarily impaired until the area was deemed safe.

The fire is considered suspicious and an investigation is underway.

Wendy... please explain how you know that the training center DOES NOT meet the needs of Bensalem firefighters??? Oh wait... I forgot, because you are one... There is more to training than putting water on a fire. Maybe if you got off your a$$ and put the countless hours of training in and became a firefighter, than maybe you would know that and you'll stop listening to your sources.

@PPLSUX: I will be more than happy to answer your question. You see, I attended the dedication of the Bucks County Training Center, consulted with the architect who built the structure, spoke with other fire fighters, did a great deal of research, and learned the following: 1. The training center in Bensalem failed to include a heat generating system at the facility, so they CANNOT do Live Burns. You know, Live Class A Fire training! 2. NO water system or sewer system at the facility. 3. The training center is between three major roadways and within the 600 yard minimum distance requirement from a roadway. This means the building cannot be retrofitted to allow live fire training programs. 4. The type of block used to construct the facility does not permit the use of propane generated live fire in the facility. Does that answer your question???

As usual you make useless and untrue insults, thumbsup, which I am finding very boring. NO ONE pays for me for anything, especially you. I don't "sit on my butt all day", but I do have a life, just not your type of life (You know, drinking the Joey D and Haman Kool-Aid, and engaging in illegal and immoral activity.), so deal with it. BTW Unemployment Compensation is SOMETHING I EARNED!! Try looking on your pay stub, especially where it says PA UC Insurance. They take this out of EVERYONE'S pay, and give it back to them, in case they lose a job through NO FAULT of their own. Next time, think before you type. Oh wait, that would be too much to ask, since apparently you DON'T think AT ALL.

Wendy... Let's try this again. As I stated before, THERE IS MORE TO FIRE TRAINING THAN DOING LIVE BURNS. Hint: NO LIVE BURNING. What good is a fire company/firefighters going to do if they do not know how to the basics? Like pulling hose lines, handling said hose lines, search and rescue, etc... These things can be accomplished with the training center that is there. Again, stop listening to your sources. I will challenge you or any other person that thinks they know what they are talking about.

Wendy, Your life is like the movie Ground Hog Day. Every morning you wake up and its the same old tired script; Training Center, Safer grant, Joey-D, Haman this, Nabal that, Right to know, Emergency management plan, Kool-aid, minions, little birdie, debate me, Parx Casino, Get a clue, Paid Fire Company, Honorable volunteers, FBI, Garcia Act, Democrats, conspiracy theory, election stunt, council meetings, budget, unemployment, Jael, born again, blah, blah, blah.
