Firefighters Respond to Electrical Fire

It occurred in an industrial area on Wells Drive.

Today at around 10:30 a.m., firefighters responded to an electrical fire in an industrial area on Wells Drive off Bridgewater Road. The building at 1406 Wells Drive is home to , a steel manufacturer, across from .

An unnamed Tri-Pro employee told Patch the fire started at the meter on the building’s exterior and then traveled through the wall damaging the interior wall. It also traveled through the exterior power lines and affected the transformer on the utility pole, he said.

He and other Tri-Pro employees were evacuated by fire officials.

Reports noted heavy fire in one office. When Patch arrived, smoke was visible but the fire appeared under control.

Workers at an adjacent business said they lost power in their building, but it went back on quickly. PECO crews were on the scene.
