Four Hospitalized in I-95 Crash in Bensalem

The two car accident has blocked two lanes on I-95 south of Woodhaven Road.

A two-car accident on I-95 just south of Woodhaven Road has sent four people to area hospitals, according to Philly.com.

The crash occurred at approximately 8:30 a.m., the article says, and has closed two lanes. One car flipped over the media and currently sits overturned on the grass. Two people have been sent to Hahnemann University Hospital in Center City, and two have gone to Aria Health's Torresdale Campus in Northeast Philadelphia.

CBSPhilly.com reports that a fifth person died from injuries obtained in the accident. Three people were ejected from the vehicles, and two were trapped inside, the article says.

TMA Bucks reports that all lanes of I-95 were shut down Friday afternoon. The northbound lanes of I-95 at Academy Road, as well as the northbound on-ramp at Linden Avenue, were closed at 12:10 p.m. Then at 12:55 p.m. state police closed the southbound lanes of I-95 at Woodhaven Road. Both routes were reopened by 1:30 p.m.
