have charged 12 students and one student from the Bucks County Technical High School for their part in numerous cell phone thefts.
Beginning in September, Bensalem High School staff and the police department noticed an unusual pattern of cell phone thefts in the school.

A joint investigation was conducted resulting in 13 students being charged with at least 24 cell phone thefts over the course of 2 months. Some were charged with stealing the phones and some were charged with buying the stolen phones.
The Tech School student and a few Bensalem students would receive stolen phones and place them on Craigslist to sell.

While the investigation is ongoing, police may make additional arrests.
Since the suspects are juveniles, they have been petitioned through juvenile court and will need to appear in court.
Police credit the school for being diligent in observing a pattern and seeking police assistance. The High School administration continues to work closely with police to prevent further thefts and maintain a safe and secure learning environment.
