Hit-and-Run Crash Under Investigation

State Police are investigating a hit-and-run accident that took place on Saturday.

Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a hit-and-run crash that took place on I-95 North in Bensalem Township on Saturday.

The accident happened at 10:12 p.m. near mile-marker 36.5 just north of exit 37, a police report said. At that time, a 24-year-old woman from Ewing, N.J., was traveling in the middle lane, when a driver who was traveling in the left lane swerved into her lane and struck the driver side front door of her Pontiac G6. After the impact, the striking vehicle fled the scene, according to police.

The Pontiac sustained damage on the driver side door, driver side mirror and driver side fender, police said. The driver of the Pontiac was wearing her lap and shoulder belt, according to the report, and suffered no injury.
