Homeless Man Arrested for Stabbing Bensalem Man, Police Say

A homeless man has been arrested and charged with two felony counts of aggravated assault and related offenses for the stabbing of a 33-year-old Bensalem man Monday night, the Bensalem Police Department reports.

A Bensalem police officer saw Michael Bell, 45, walking in the Creekside Apartment complex and matched his characteristics for a wanted suspect in Monday's stabbing. According to the press release, Bell attempted to flee the complex, but assisting officers caught him at the Knights Road entrance.

According to police, Bell admitted to stabbing the victim in the abdomen Monday night. Police say Bell was breaking into cars along Street Road and Mechanicsville Road before the victim approached him. After stabbing the Bensalem man, police say Bell ran off, toward the Giant Shopping Center.
