Homicide Suspect Apprehended at Trevose Hotel

Police arrested a suspect wanted in a multiple homicide Wednesday night at the Knights Inn on Lincoln Highway.

According to Philadelphia police, Axel Barreto, 30, of Philadelphia, was charged with firing a dozen shots into a car filled with teenagers on Jan. 10 at approximately 10:30 pm, in the rear of 1511 E. Luzerne St., Philadelphia.

According to Philly.com, killed were Joshua Soto, 14, of North Philadelphia; Javier Orlandi, 16, of Kensington; and Dante Lugo, 14. The 16-year-old driver of the car was hit in the neck and was listed in stable condition at St. Christopher's.

Philly.com said the boys had been arguing with Barreto’s stepsons earlier that day.
