Island Sun Tanning Salon Robber Sought

Bensalem Township police are looking for a man responsible for a robbery at Island Sun Tanning Salon.

Bensalem Police need the public's help identifying a man who allegedly robbed the Island Sun Tanning Salon a week ago.

On Friday, Feb. 19 at 10 p.m., a man who was caught on a surveillance video, entered Island Sun Tanning Salon at 5633 Bensalem Blvd. and demanded money from the cash register, according to police.

"The suspect implied that he had a handgun but never displayed it," Sgt. Andrew Aninsman said.

The man is described as a white male, approximately 5-feet 8-inches tall, weighs 200 pounds and has facial hair. Police said he was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with an emblem on the left chest, blue jeans, black shoes and black gloves.

"The suspect ran out of the business and left on foot towards the intersection of Bensalem Boulevard and New Falls Road," Aninsman said.

The man's hooded sweatshirt was recovered from this area, he added.

Anyone with information about the suspect seen in the attached photo and video should call Bensalem Detective John Monaghan at 215-633-3700.

I'm not quite sure who writes these articles, but they really need to learn how to spell, or at the very least, edit them before publishing. Saught?? Really? It's sought, in case you want to know for future reference. That's embarrassing!

Kim, you need to relax ... Why do people have to be so judgmental. If you have such an issue about the grammer of these articles, don't read them.

@Kim, thanks for pointing the error out (it has since been fixed). I appreciate your keen eye, and apologize for the mistake... but I am only human and am bound to make mistakes from time to time.
