Local Bus Driver Crashes in Upstate New York

Reports say 19 visited hospitals following accident.

A Bensalem bus driver was involved in a crash Wednesday evening in upstate New York that resulted in 19 people being taken to area hospitals.

According to a story on wbng.com, New York State Police said Albert B. Moore Jr., 30, Bensalem, drove the bus off the west side of I-81, near the Whitney Point exit, down an embankment and rolled onto its roof. The accident occurred at approximately 7 p.m.

The bus was carrying 28 Polish tourists enroute to Trenton from a trip to Niagara Falls, the story stated.

According to reports, a heavy downpour could have been a contributing factor in the crash. Police and state transportation officials are still investigating, the story stated.
