Man Charged in Second Bank Robbery

A Philadelphia man who was charged with robbing the TD Bank in Bensalem is facing additional charges for allegedly robbing another bank.

Less than a week before he allegedly robbed a Bensalem branch of TD Bank, a Philadelphia man allegedly hit a bank in his hometown.

Nicholas S. Giorno Jr., 42, of the 1200 block of Poquessing Drive in Philadelphia, has been charged with four felonies and three misdemeanors stemming from his alleged June 6 robbery of the TD Bank branch at 9996 Haldeman Ave., in Philadelphia.

Giorno, who police said made off with $2,260 during the heist, allegedly handed a bank teller a note that said "give me it all,” which had been written on a bank deposit slip.

Police recovered the note and sent it to the Police Document Examination Unit for latent print analysis on June 18. On July 6, a latent impression was compared to the fingerprints belonging to Giorno. Fingerprint No. 1 was “positively identified” as the right ring finger of Giorno, according to Bensalem Police.

On July 18 a series of photos were shown to the teller. Police said she positively identified the robber as Giorno.
