Man Who Pimped Bensalem Teens Sentenced for Sex Trafficking

A Philadelphia man who pleaded guilty earlier this year to charges of prostitution of Bensalem minors was sentenced Wednesday on two federal counts of sex trafficking of minors.

An admitted pimp of two Bensalem underage girls on Wednesday was sentenced to 24 years in prison for two federal counts of sex trafficking of minors.

Craig Johnson, 42, aka “Geez,” of Philadelphia, was already serving time in jail after pleading guilty earlier this year to more than a dozen felonies stemming from his role in prostituting two Bensalem minors.

Johnson pleaded guilty to the federal charges in June, according to a release. In addition to the jail time, he was ordered by U.S. District Court Judge C. Darnell Jones to complete 10 years of supervised release and pay $10,400, per victim, in restitution.

According to authorities, Johnson operated a prostitution venture in Philadelphia. In June 2012, Johnson recruited young girls, ages 15 and 16, respectively, to work as prostitutes.

He also created Internet advertisements in which he promoted various girls as available for purchase for purposes of prostitution. These advertisements featured pictures of the prostitutes, either scantily clad or partially nude, the price for an encounter, and a phone number to call to arrange a meeting with a prostitute, according to a press release issued Wednesday by U.S. Department of Justice.

In June, Johnson also had been sentenced to 16 to 40 years in state prison after pleading guilty in Bucks County Court to the prostitution charges, according to the Bucks County Courier Times.
