Missing Man Found at Bensalem School

A Morrsiville man who had been missing since Monday showed up at Cecelia Snyder Middle School in Bensalem Wednesday morning.

A Morrisville man who was reported missing on Monday, was found Wednesday morning when he rang the doorbell at a Bensalem school.

Robert Alexander, 82, who according to the Bucks County Courier Times was missing since leaving his Morrisville home Monday afternoon, rang the doorbell at Cecelia Snyder Middle School on Hulmeville Road in Bensalem at about 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, believing that he was at the police station, according to Principal Tom Evert.

Evert said he invited Alexander in out of the cold and staff made him a cup of coffee. Alexander showed Evert identification, including a military card, he said.

The man told Evert his car broke down on Tuesday, but seemed "confused," he said.

"Where's he been since Monday?" Evert wondered aloud. "The common sense thing was to see if he needed medical assistance and to get him out of the cold."

Calling it a "Christmas miracle," Evert said Bensalem Police responded soon after the man's arrival to transport him home.
