Neshaminy School Board Requests District Attorney Investigation

The Neshaminy School Board has put a request in for Bucks County District Attorney to conduct a criminal investigation following vandalism to a high school teacher's vehicle.

Following reports of vandalism to a Neshaminy High School teacher's vehicle last week, Neshaminy School Board President Ritchie Webb has requested that the Bucks County District Attorney conduct a criminal investigation into the vandalism.

After reviewing the report prepared by Neshaminy Superintendent Louis Muenker and Neshaminy High School Principal Rob McGee, the Neshaminy School Board has concluded that "credible concerns exist for the safety" of school district staff.

According to a letter Webb wrote to Muenker, this concern from the board also stems from t in which he criticized the Neshaminy Federation of Teachers' use of "terror and fear to stay in power."

Webb's request that the Bucks County District Attorney conduct a criminal investigation of the vandalism done to Ferrara’s SUV also includes a request to investigate the other allegations detailed in his letter.

"Since the safety of our employees is of paramount concern, I ask that all District staff provide any information requested by and cooperate fully with the authorities," Webb wrote.

Last week, Ferrara found that his SUV had been vandalized one day after he sent a letter to his fellow educators decrying certain actions of his union's leadership.

"We condemn any and all acts of vandalism, harassmentor intimidation against anyone - including our members who have supported our efforts and have been the victims of such malicious conduct," NFT President Louise Boyd said in a statement Tuesday evening, adding that the NFT has "not supported, encouraged or condoned such behavior."

"Since we do not know the scope or focus of the district attorney’s planned investigation and have not been contacted regarding such an investigation, we cannot say anything at this time," she said.
