Pedestrian Struck, Killed Crossing Street Road

Police say drugs or alcohol are not suspected.

Today at 6:55 a.m., Bensalem Police responded to a struck pedestrian in the area of Street Road and Brookwood Drive.

According to police, a 59-year-old female entered the eastbound outer lanes of Street Road in an attempt to cross, when she was struck and killed by a Dodge Neon.

The 65-year-old male driver of the Neon immediately stopped. No alcohol or drugs are suspected at this time, police said.

According to police, the victim was homeless and living out of her vehicle but is not being identified until her next of kin has been notified.

The accident remains under investigation. Police request anyone with information to call Officer Neil Tropiano or Detective Tom Jackson at (215) 633-3719.
