Philadelphia Man Brought Kids Along for Drug Deal, Police Say

A father has been charged with child endangerment and corruption of minors after allegedly bringing his kids along for a drug transaction.

A Philadelphia man who allegedly sold 30 MDMA pills to Bensalem Police  endangered his two minor children, who accompanied him, police say.

Andy Nunez-Reyes, 36, of the 2800 block of Disston Street in Philadelphia, was arrested on Oct. 29 and charged with felony counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and criminal use of a communication facility for allegedly finalizing the drug deal with his cell phone.

Nunez-Reyes was also charged with misdemeanor counts of child endangerment and corruption of minors for allegedly having his two sons in the car while the drug deal was occurring, according to court documents.

Police said Nunez-Reyes negotiated selling 30 MDMA pills–typically called "Molly" on the street–for $400. Nunez-Reyes met an undercover Bensalem Police officer at Uno's Pizzeria, 3900 Rockhill Dr., in Bensalem, according to court documents.

After the alleged drug deal, Nunez-Reyes walked back to his girlfriend's vehicle and got into the back seat, according to court records.

Police then activated their lights and sirens and the driver, Nunez-Reyes' girlfriend, attempted to flee, according to court documents.

As police approached the vehicle, "one child was not secured in a child seat" and "both children were screaming in fear and crying," according to the affidavit of probable cause.

Nunez-Reyes is being held at the Bucks County Correctional Facility in lieu of 10 percent of $50,000 bail. He awaits a preliminary hearing this week.
