Police Arrest Two for Burglary, Car Theft

The following arrest information was provided by the Bensalem Township Police Department. It does not imply conviction.

On May 3, apprehend two suspected car thieves/burglars after a short chase and foot pursuit.

According to police, Christopher Cooper, 20, of the 2500 block of E. Ann Street, Philadelphia, and Vincent Crockenberg, 19, of the 9100 block of Frankford Avenue, were lodged in Bucks County Prison in lieu of $100,000 bail set by Judge Snow.

In the morning, the suspects stole a 1997 Ford Explorer from Richmond Street in Philadelphia, police said. Later in the day, they then attempted to break into a home on Finley Avenue, but an alert passerby contacted police and provided a description.

Bensalem police located the suspects on Park Avenue. They parked the vehicle parked it behind a local church and fled on foot through the woods. They ran through yards and jumped fences.

The suspects were finally arrested 25 minutes later in the area of Wells Drive, almost a mile and half from the Church.

The suspects were interviewed and not only admitted to the attempted break in to the home on Finley, but admitted to several other burglaries in Bensalem.

Police said Crockenberg is also the target of several armed robberies in Philadelphia.
