Police Chase Alleged Drug Dealers to Philly

A news helicopter assisted police in locating alleged drug dealers following a high-speed chase.

 

Police arrested two suspected drug dealers after a high-speed chase from Bensalem to Philadelphia Monday night.

On Sept. 10 at 7 p.m., the Special Investigations Unit attempted to arrest Rasheed Potts, 28, of the 4100 block of Orchard Street, and Dominique Winn, 22, of the 1500 block of S. Garnet Street, for delivery of approximately an ounce of cocaine. The arrest attempt occurred near , according to PhillyBurbs.

While attempting to make the arrest, Potts and Winn fled the scene causing a police chase. At the time, police believed one or both of suspects were armed with handguns.

After the vehicle exited I-95 at Bridge Street, police terminated the chase however Chopper 6 had monitored the fleeing vehicle. They contacted police who were able to converge on the home the suspects fled to.

After approximately 40 minutes, Philadelphia SWAT was able to take Potts and Winn into custody. They were transported back to Bensalem where they were charges with felony drug delivery and related offenses.

They were both arraigned by Judge Benz and sent to Bucks County Prison in lieu of $200,000 bail.

Bensalem Police extended gratitude to the Philadelphia Police Department and Action News for their assistance in the apprehension.
