Police Chase Car Thief Through Three Counties

Chase ends near Bensalem.

Bensalem police yesterday morning helped apprehend a young man who led officers on a chase from Ridley Township in Delaware County to Bristol Township here in Bucks.

According to a report in the Bucks County Courier Times, Paul McCurry Jr., 19, was charged with theft, receiving stolen property, reckless endangerment, eluding police and resisting arrest.  At 6:30 a.m., police began chasing McCurry, who was driving a car that had been reported stolen.

The car chase ended when police forced the vehicle to crash against a guardrail on I-95 in Bristol. After the crash, McCurry fled the scene on foot. He was found later hiding in woods near an industrial park beneath the highway.
