Police Make Eight Monday Arrests

Charges included warrants, resisting arrest, vandalism, disorderly conduct, theft and receiving stolen property.

The following arrest information was provided by the Bensalem Township Police Department. It does not imply conviction.

On Monday, April 9, made the following arrests:

At 10:44 a.m., a 16-year-old female from Bensalem was arrested in the 2700 block Woodsview Drive on an outstanding warrant out of Bucks County. She was taken to Edison Juvenile Detention Center.

At 11:45 a.m., William Grandy, 28, of the 2100 block of Ziemba Court, was arrested in the 2400 block of Byberry Road and charged with resisting arrest, institutional vandalism and disorderly conduct. In Addition, he had an outstanding warrant out of Bucks County. He was sent to Bucks County Prison in lieu of $50,000 bail.

At 2:12 p.m., Phillip Williams, 52, of the 200 block of N. Wanamaker Street, Philadelphia, was arrested at the and charged with retail theft. He was sent to Bucks County Prison in lieu of $50,000 bail.

At 2:29 p.m., Benjamin Vearling, 34, of the 1000 block of Harwood Avenue, was arrested in the 900 block of Rockhill Drive and charged with theft by deception. He was released on $10,000 unsecured bail.

At 3:44 p.m., Nicholas Wilson, 25, of the 300 block of Dogwood Drive, Levittown, was arrested at the , and charged with two counts of retail theft. He was sent to Bucks County Prison in lieu of $40,000 bail.

At 5:32 p.m., Amiel R. Westfield, 57, of the 1100 block of E. Oxford Street, Philadelphia, was arrested at the Boscov’s Department Store, Neshaminy Mall and charged with retail theft and receiving stolen property. He was released on $25,000 unsecured bail.

At 7:50 p.m., Barbara Sue Cummings, 43, with no fixed address, was arrested in the 2300 block of Old Lincoln Highway, Trevose on an outstanding fugitive from justice warrant out of Denton County, Texas. She was sent to Bucks County Prison in lieu of $50,000 bail to wait extradition.           

At 7:50 p.m., Robert William Vansant, 48, of the 600 block of Savanna Drive, Highland Village, Texas, was arrested in the 2300 block of Old Lincoln Highway, Trevose on an outstanding warrant out of Phila. He was turned over to Phila Police Warrant Unit.
