Police Search for Missing Elderly Man

He was last seen in Nottingham.

On Sunday, Feb. 27, Bensalem police responded to the Nottingham section of the Township for the report of a missing elderly man. 

Family members reported that Edwin Kakareka was out for a walk and never returned home. He was last seen walking along Old Street Road by the Inn of the Dove at 12:30 p.m. 

Kakareka, 79, is described as a white male, 5’10”, 150 lbs., with brown eyes and white hair. He was last seen wearing brown corduroy pants, a green sweater and green windbreaker, black sneakers, and a dark blue or black baseball hat.

Extensive search efforts are being conducted in the area Edwin was last observed, but he may be heading to the area of Philadelphia’s 30th Street Station. 

Kakareka suffers from dementia and has been placed into NCIC as a missing endangered person.
