Saturday Event to Benefit Danny Mac Fund

Event includes beef, beer, music and good times.

Area residents will have a chance to get out and have a good time for a good cause.

A is being held to benefit the Daniel McIntosh Memorial Fund on Saturday, Sept. 10 from 6 p.m. to midnight.

The event is held in commemoration of Bensalem emergency medical services paramedic Daniel "Danny Mac" McIntosh who died last March.

McIntosh, a thirteen-year veteran of Bensalem EMS, suffered a major heart attack after responding to a distress call and died later at Aria Health's Torresdale campus at Red Lion and Knight's Road. He was 39 years old.

The event will be held at , 3258 Knights Road.

Food will be provided by the Texas Roadhouse restaurant.

Appearing live will be the Philadelphia Police and Fire Pipes and Drums, Stem, No Irish Need Apply and Saturn. The bands donated their time for the cause.

There will also be tons of raffle items available, including signed sports memorabilia and gift certificates from many local businesses.

Tickets are $25 in advance or $30 at the door. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Daniel McIntosh Memorial Fund, The Daniel McIntosh memorial 5K Run (promoting heart health) and The Daniel McIntosh Memorial Scholarship Fund which provides tuition assistance to students at Bucks County Community College who want to help serve their community as Dan did.
