Six Thefts Reported from Macy's, Horizon Center

Police charged eight people with retail theft at Macy's Department Store and the Horizon Center between Feb. 1 and 3.

Eight people were arrested and charged with retail theft over the weekend of Friday, Feb. 1 and Sunday, Feb. 3, according to police reports.

Bensalem Police Department released a recent blotter that included six incidents of retail theft. Though eight people were arrested and charged, they are to be considered innocent until proved guilty in accordance with existing state and federal law or local ordinances.

On Feb. 1 at 1:35 p.m., a 41-year-old man from Philadelphia was arrested and charged with retail theft on the 3400 block of Horizon Boulevard, police said. He was sent to Bucks County Prison in lieu of $50,000 bail.

Just before 5 p.m. on the same day, two 17-year-old boys from Trenton, NJ were arrested and charged with retail theft and criminal conspiracy at Macy's Department Store in Neshaminy Mall, according to police reports. Juvenile criminal allegations will be filed. 

During the same incident at Macy's, an 18-year-old man from Philadelphia was also arrested and charged with retail theft and criminal conspiracy, police said. Additionally, he was charged with resisting arrest. He was released on $25,000 unsecured bail, the report said.

On Feb. 2, 2013 around 5 p.m. a 24-year-old woman from the 300 block of Date Street in Warminster was arrested and charged with retail theft from the 3400 block of Horizon Boulevard, police said. She will receive a summons.

Then at 7:38 p.m., police arrested and charged two Philadelphia men with retail theft and criminal conspiracy at the Horizon Center, the police blotter said. A 21-year-old man from the 11000 block of Lanett Road in Philadelphia was sent to Bucks County Prison in lieu of $50,000 bail, and his 19-year-old brother with the same address was released on $10,000 unsecured bail, police said. 

On Sunday, Feb. 3 at 2:20 p.m., police arrested and charged a 36-year-old woman from Philadelphia with retail theft from Macy's in Neshaminy Mall. He was sent to Bucks County Prison in lieu of $25,000 bail.
