'Snow Rage' Gun Wielder Sentenced

Simmons receives 3-23 months and 2 years probation.

The local man who made headlines after a January winter storm for pulling a gun on a maintenance worker for plowing in his car was sentenced in a Doylestown courtroom Tuesday.

Eddie Simmons, 26, received three to 23 months in Bucks County Prison, two years probation and court mandated mental health evaluation, according to a story on PhillyBurbs.com.

Simmons pleaded guilty to terroristic threats and unlawful restraint charges. As part of a plea agreement, assault charges were dropped.

On Jan. 12 at about 8:20 a.m. Bensalem police arrested Simmons at his apartment in the 1300 blk of Neshaminy Valley Drive, in the Ark complex.

"Somebody better move the snow or somebody is going to get shot," Simmons said to the maintenance worker. He then pulled a black handgun out of his pocket and stuck it into the victims right cheek.

According to PhillyBurbs, Simmons has been in jail since the incident and will likely be paroled in two weeks.
