State Police Charge Four with Drunk Driving

Incidents occurred in Bensalem and Middletown Township.

The following arrest information was provided by State Police from the Trevose station. It does not imply conviction.

Between Sept. 30 and Oct. 3, made the following DUI arrests:

On Sept. 30 at 1:23 a.m., state police stopped a vehicle for speeding on I-95 northbound at milepost 34.8 in Bensalem. The driver, Anthony G. Scotti, 49, of Mataroras, Pa., was found to be intoxicated. He was given a blood test, processed and released with DUI charges. Trooper Thomas Geerlof investigated the incident.

On Oct. 1 at 3:36 a.m., state police responded to a one-vehicle crash on the Woodhaven Road off ramp to I-95 southbound in Bensalem. The driver, Rachel M. Garber, 21, of Philadelphia, was found to be intoxicated. She was given a blood test, processed and released with DUI charges. Trooper Kevin Lee investigated the incident.

On Oct. 3 at 1:15 a.m., state police responded to a two-vehicle crash on I-95 at milepost 34 in Bensalem. The driver, Sophia Kotlyarenko, 23, of Southampton, was observed to be unsteady and disoriented. She was found to be under the influence. She was given a blood test, processed and released. Trooper Craig Acord investigated the incident.

On Oct. 3 at 7:49 a.m., state police responded to a one-vehicle crash on I-95 southbound at Old Lincoln Highway in Middletown Township. The driver, Eric M. Stein, 24, of Trenton, was found to be intoxicated and in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Stein was arraigned in district court by Judge Daniel Baranoski. He lodged in Bucks County Prison on $5,000 (10 percent) bail. Trooper Matthew Lopresto investigated the incident with the assistance of Trooper Justin Oliver, Cpl. Joseph Altieri and Trooper Joseph Schmidt.
