State Police Make Three DUI, Related Arrests

The following arrest information was provided by the Pennsylvania State Police Trevose station. It does not imply conviction.

Between June 29 - July 1, made the following arrests:

On June 29 at 1:42 a.m., state police stopped a vehicle on I-95 at the exit 40 off ramp in Bristol Township. The driver, Ralph A. Ocava, 28, of Fairless Hills was found to be intoxicated. He was arrested for DUI. Trooper Kevin Lee investigated the incident.

On July 1 at 12:07 a.m., state police responded to a one-vehicle accident on I-95 southbound at Woodhaven Road in Bensalem. Police said a vehicle was traveling at an unsafe speed and lost control. It left the roadway and struck the Woodhaven Road overpass bridge abutment and a light pole. It came to rest on its roof in the vegetation in the right shoulder. Drug paraphernalia was observed within the vehicle, police said. The driver, Steven Berg, 30, of Fairless Hills, faces charges pending blood test results. Berg and two passengers were transported to Aria Torresdale by Bensalem EMS. Trooper Robert Richter investigated the incident.

On July 1 at 12:47 a.m., state police were conducting a DUI checkpoint on Route 413 at Rockview Drive when a vehicle came through the area at a high rate of speed refusing to stop and almost striking five officers. The driver, John S. Connors, 52, of Bristol Township, was pursued and continued leading police on a pursuit coming to a stop on Snowden Avenue in a park. He fled on foot and was taken into custody after a struggle. He was charged with the following: reckless endangerment, eluding police, resisting arrest, DUI, marijuana possession and related traffic offenses. He was lodged in county prison on $150,000 bail. Trooper J. Irwin investigated the incident.
